Job Description

General Dynamics IT has an opening for a Document Imaging Specialist in Camarillo, CA.

Successful candidate must be able to obtain and retain a Department of Interior background investigation. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US and a resident of the US for the previous 3 years with no longer than a 90 day absence.

Duties/Responsibilities: This position requires the successful candidate to interact with sophisticated scanning software and an assortment of client specific databases in order to perform completion of technical tasking related to the regulation of the oil and gas industry.

o Prep documents according to specific client request.

o Remove all paper clips, staples and folds from pages.

o Perform quality review of the prepared records o Manually count of files prior to prepping and after prepping.

o Scan documents into specific client database using client specific imaging software

o Compare electronic version to paper version o Follow requirements for sorting and organizing records

o Perform any other duties required to collect and prepare records and setup and operate computer/scanning equipment.


  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1+ years of related technical experience.


Required Skills, Qualifications or Experience:

o Basic computer skills

o Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

o Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures involved in document imaging o Ability to work quickly while maintaining high quality standards o Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills, Qualifications or Experience:

o Experience with Kofax

o Experience with Word and Excel

o Comfortable with Windows platform

o Good organization, communication, and documentation skills

o Detail oriented
