Job Description:

GDIT is growing our Growth team by hiring multiple CLOUD roles! We have an immediate need for a CLOUD ECONOMICS SME to work in either our Chantilly or Falls Church offices!

The ideal candidate would focus almost exclusively on Cloud Economics (cloud sizing and estimation, service catalog consulting) for Microsoft cloud & other cloud solutions bids and programs, in addition to re-seller engagements.

Bid and proposal support

  • Work with team members to author and review responses to request for proposals (RFP) and requests for information (RFI) across multiple, vertically focused organizations, including Department of Defense, Federal Civilian & Health, and Intel & Department of Homeland Security.

  • Create complex managed services price and cost models, service descriptions, and catalog entries in support of RFP and RFI responses.

  • Develop solution architectures, technical basis of estimates, and align pricing estimates using native Cloud Service Provider (CSP) tools and APIs, and pricing schedules for contract vehicles such as GSA IT Schedule 70, Department of Interior Foundation Cloud Hosting Services, for CSPs such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, Oracle Cloud, and Service Now.

  • Collaborate with finance and pricing analysts to deliver complete pricing & cost proposals for Financial Management Review, which may include spreadsheets, risk management matrices, assumptions and other documentation using MS-Word and MS-Powerpoint.

Technical delivery and operations support

  • Provide Cloud subject matter expertise to delivery organizations supporting existing contracts for items such as cloud migration, total cost of ownership comparison, return on investment analysis, and CSP analysis of alternatives

  • Support delivery organizations to integrate back-office purchase order, invoice & billing, chargeback and show-back functions as part of onboarding new programs and services for the GDIT Strategic Alliance and Emerging Technology programs.

  • Work with the Cloud Economics team to provide financial analysis support for all Cloud accounts using Cloud Management Platforms such as CloudCheckr and Orbitera. Monitor current spend rates, recommend cost savings actions, manage account resources as needed.

Alliances and Contractual support

  • Act as a Cloud subject matter expert in support of technical conferences, including supporting marketing booths on general expo floor to present GDIT initiatives and product demonstrations.

  • Provide competitive pricing guidance to Alliance directors in support of contract negotiations.

  • Provide guidance to Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) team members for lifecycle management of pricing schedules for GSA IT Schedule 70, National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) Cloud contract schedule, including identifying pricing revisions, services additions and deletions.

  • Act as liaison between Alliance and GWAC team members to support RFP and RFI responses

Required Experience

  • 18 years Infrastructure experience

  • Cloud Pricing experience

  • AWS Cloud Economics and Total Cost of Ownership Accreditation

  • Current cloud certification for AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle, such as AWS Cloud Solutions Architect – Associate
