This exciting opportunity seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to help migrate, maintain and enhance a hybrid cloud environment for a critical, national intelligence program. You will work with a team of professionals who contribute daily to protecting the nation’s infrastructure via coordination, integration and dissemination of information that supports cyber threat investigations seeking to prevent intrusions, espionage, data theft, fraud and other insidious crimes. Servers and users operate in a heterogeneous environment comprised mostly of CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat, and MAC High Sierra operating systems. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate customer requirements and drive technical design and execution activities for moving the existing on premise infrastructure, server workloads, data and applications to the cloud (AWS / C2S)

  • Develop and implement cloud based solutions to meet development, test, pre-production/integration, and production environments that meet project requirements

  • Develop and implement creative solutions for automating deployment, configuration, and verification of legacy or early stage technology to cloud environments and support the continuous integration of applications

  • Provide guidance on the full life cycle of cloud based solutions including tools, technologies, and best practices for development, deployment and maintenance of cloud hosted services

  • Design solutions and provide insights into tradeoffs in various infrastructure and application deployment, configuration and verification strategies

  • Create and maintain technical documentation regarding design documents, operational drawings and guides

  • Provisioning, installing and configuring the AWS environment

  • Setup and maintenance of Auto Scaling Groups

  • Managing the AWS console via AWS CLI scripting

  • CloudWatch monitoring and finding issues before they become a problem

  • Designing and maintain IAM security policies

  • Design and maintain VPC environments

  • Implement CI / CD processes and best practices


  1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline. 2. Masters Degree preferred.


10+ years of related hardware engineering experience.

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance w/current CI Poly OR be able to pass a CI Polygraph.
