Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for a senior level subcontracts administrator to work independently with a high level of responsibility in a highly visible position with a department that is focused on building a brilliant team of subcontracts professionals with a reputation for providing excellent internal customer service.


In this role, you will be a lead subcontracts representative supporting the Defense division. You will be working with junior staff and will have the opportunity to develop mentoring skills. You will specifically be responsible for subcontract administration, to include issuing RFPs, marketing research to support source selection, analyzing subcontractor proposals, negotiating prices and terms and conditions, and awarding legally binding subcontract agreements. Subcontract support will be cradle to grave starting with proposal support and ending with subcontract closeout.

You will work from one of our office either in Chantilly, VA with some flexibility for tele-working.

You will have the opportunity to participate in working groups to improve the processes, policies and practices as the department works to transform the already approved DCMA purchasing systems to a best in class model for industry.

Required Skills

A Senior Subcontracts Analyst:

· is familiar with FAR and other regulatory requirements

· is able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, understand the fundamentals of contracting including offer, acceptance, consideration and intent to create a legal relationship,

· understands the principles of fair and reasonable pricing (price analysis) and price negotiations

· identifies risks in subcontracts terms and conditions and facilitate the mitigation of those risks through communication with program managers, business operations, and subcontracts managers.

· Utilizes strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to think strategically with financial and business acumen skills

· is familiar with the Microsoft suite including word and excel.

To qualify for this job you must have BA/BS or equivalent and at least 6 years of related experience.
