General Dynamics Information Technology SharePoint Admin/Front-End Developer - TS/SCI required in Chantilly, Virginia
TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required for this position.
Provide second-level and third-level support for all facets of the SharePoint environment, troubleshooting operational issues, including software and hardware.
Work with site owners to maximize SharePoint’s role in internal collaboration and communication, with an emphasis on user-created content and self-service.
Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SharePoint and related technologies.
Develop, review, and maintain documentation and best practices and procedures.
Duties, & Responsibilities
Supports Intranet sites built on SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016
Manages system security, system patching and upgrades
Deploys custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages
Configures SharePoint services and settings
Documents SharePoint configuration and architecture
Manages site quotas and file size limits
Reviews and monitoring usage reports
Manages content databases and creating new ones as required
Administers and maintains sites and sub-sites
Manages security for sites and sub-sites
Manages the site layout structure and content
Provides SharePoint support to end users
Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
5-8 years of related systems engineering experience as well as DoD 8570 certifications.
Prior experience administering, developing and maintaining SharePoint 2013/2016 portal sites.
Experience investigating and resolving SharePoint performance issues.
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for SharePoint configuration and web part issues.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge and experience working with and establishing workflows within the SharePoint environment
Site layout structure and content
Maintenance of sites and sub-sites
Familiar with Central administration functions within SharePoint
Familiar with a range of SharePoint service applications to include managed meta data, user profile sync, power pivot and performance point.
Must possess knowledge of business workflows and have an in depth understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint, Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Designer / Visual Studio.
