Job Description:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS + 6 years related experience.

Project Management related courses from an accredited college or university in a curriculum that provides substantial knowledge useful in managing complex IT projects and six years of industry accepted Information Technology (IT) experience. Note: Three of the six years must be within the past four years that reflects experience managing small to medium sized IT projects. A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in management / supervisory positions. Personnel management experience in a team-oriented workplace.

  • Inherent knowledge and technical background skills in information technology, to resolve day-to day challenges, supervise and manage contractor personnel

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management including reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, service delivery managers, clients and other stakeholders. Provides weekly updates to customer.

  • Work with local and remote customers and internal company departmental managers to ensure their team's technological developments align with the customer and company's goals

  • Requires very good knowledge of all aspects of IT, to include desktop, servers, zero clients, switches and router management, providing good balance between managerial duties and advanced technological skills. Serve as a knowledgeable resource to the IT organization's management team

  • Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding, and providing career development planning and opportunities, work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.

  • Track and verify resolution of all complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs

  • Work with Remedy ticketing system on both Navy and Air Force, Work with the Navy Altiris system

MUST HAVE Skills:

Excellent skills in a MS Office suite; Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

Altiris system experience. Remedy ticketing system experience.

Windows 10 and Server 2012R2 experience

Must have a valid driver’s license

Nice to have:

VOIP experience

PMP certification

Clearance Requirement: SECRET to start work

Required Baseline Certs: IAT Level I (A+ CE or CCNA-Security or Network+ CE or SSCP)
