Job Description

Manages the day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) of IT servers, networks, services and client workstations, across multiple platforms and architectures. Directs the O&M responsibilities in support of US BICES-X networks across the globe.The Service Operations Lead is expected to have the necessary skills to effectively communicate with team members through vocal and written methods. They are also expected to be team leads for projects and standard day-to-day functions.This position involves working with NATO, multinational Special Operations and INTEL personnel. The mission parameters are fast paced, highly demanding, in a rapidly expanding environment and requires an exceptional work ethic. Only applicants determined to possess the unique skills, drive, motivation, and experience that prove they are fully capable of meeting these challenges and excelling in this type of environment will be considered.Strong preference will be given to individuals with prior military experience and/or experience working with multinational, INTEL and SOF communities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Manages the day-to-day operations for assigned program, including technical work, staff supervision, financial and business development activities.2. Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities.3. Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.4. Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.5. Maintain and oversee that all aspects of each network enclaves meet DoD compliance standards.6. Supervises and directs the work of assigned computer operations staff, which may include subordinate supervisors.7. Oversees activities such as equipment scheduling, production control, data libraries, teleprocessing, and similar operations.8. Establishes detailed schedules for the utilization of all equipment to obtain maximum utilization and effectiveness.9. Assigns staff to insure optimum effectiveness and monitors performance.10. Recommends and implements programs to minimize costs, ensure optimum output, and maintain quality.11. Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.12. Performs business development activities, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals.13. Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.14. Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.15. Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.16. Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.17. Interacts with client and vendor personnel to resolve problems.18. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.19. Participates in special projects as required.20. Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.21. Participates in special projects as required.


Masters Degree in a related discipline.



  1. Expert level knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in assigned area of expertise.2. Professional certification(s) in one or more specific applications or processes may be required, depending on job assignment.3. Advanced knowledge of company products, services, and solutions.4. Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.5. Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire.6. Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required.7. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide8. The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
