General Dynamics Information Technology Principal Human Resource Business Partner in Fairfax, Virginia
Acts as a trusted advisor and HR leader providing support in all areas of people management to Sector within FedCiv Division, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Partners with Employee Relations and Legal departments on the investigation and timely resolution of employee relations issues.
Acts as a liaison between employees and HQ HR staff.
Coordinates service with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and other support organizations and advises, coaches, and guides leaders on organizational design, change management, performance management, talent management, and leadership development to establish a performance driven culture and business rhythm.
Demonstrates ability to flex skill and experience to meet various business needs, and navigate ambiguous and complex situations.
Establishes credibility through intimate understanding of the business, critical business issues, and anticipates obstacles to implementing business change
Identifies trends, prepares various reports, and develops action plans as requested by management to improve employee satisfaction and engagement.
Provides guidance to managers regarding HR issues.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced HR staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant human resources procedures and practices, and relevant labor laws.
Travel to company locations and client sites may be required.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelors Degree in a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
8-10 years of related human resources experience.
