General Dynamics Information Technology Sr Manager, Quality Assurance in Fairfax, Virginia

Job Description

As a Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance, your principal duties and responsibilities are:

  • Develops and implements quality methodologies to ensure that products and services meet company standards and customer requirements.

  • Supervises and mentors quality assurance staff.

  • Understands and interprets ISO 9001, ISO 14001and OHSAS 18001 requirements in order to support successful company and Division Certificates of Registration.

  • Develops and manages ISO and EHS Internal audit programs to ensure compliance.

  • Performs Lead Auditor duties as required.

  • Conducts periodic reviews of Quality and EHS programs for senior management.

  • Acts as Division Quality Management Representative (QMR), including leading the Quality Management System Review Board (QMSRB) and participating in GDIT HQ Best Practices meetings in order to share cost-saving opportunities and information of interest across GDIT.

  • Manages QEHS program budgets as directed by supervisor.

  • Administrates enterprise tools such as SharePoint, Concur, myLMS and eRes.

  • Authors and reviews Quality Assurance sections of major bids and proposals.

  • Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution.

  • Administers customer satisfaction process in conjunction with program managers and contracts staff.

  • Develops and conducts quality-related training.

  • Works with program managers, technical staff and their customers where required to assure adherence to quality standards on deliverables.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related quality assurance experience, including supervisory experience.

  • Holds recognized quality or continual improvement certification(s) such American Society for Quality (ASQ) CQA or CQE.

  • Experience in implementing core business related industry standards such as ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001 and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

  • Professional or internal certification(s) may be required, depending on job assignment.

  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures related to quality assurance.

  • Effective management and communication skills.

  • Advanced understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements.

  • Ability to interface with company retained Registrar and support external audits.

  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance if required to support program needs.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
