General Dynamics Information Technology Talent Strategist, Defense in Fairfax, Virginia

Job Description

  • Join the Talent Development Center of Excellence to serve as a consultant and strategic talent partner to senior leaders in the Defense Division.

  • Assess and identify development specific gaps within the Defense Division population and define specific interventions that will positively impact employees at all levels.

  • Work with the broader Talent Strategist team to identify synergies between all GDIT divisions and develop enterprise-level solutions to tackle common talent challenges.

  • Act as liaison between employees, leaders and Centers of Excellence (COE), including Culture and Engagement, Talent Mobility and Total Rewards.

  • Create strategies and talent roadmaps for the employee population, and effectively communicate newly developed talent related programs.

  • Provide guidance and training to managers and supervisors on relevant learning channels available.

  • Communicate talent development metrics results to the business and track learning progress for accountability, results and creation of talent interventions.

  • Collaborate with other COEs and HR Business Partners on strategic talent initiatives, processes and programs.

  • Must be results oriented and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation and agility.

  • Excellent analytic, consultative and problem solving skills with the ability to take a thoughtful data driven approach to addressing challenges.

  • Act as a natural advisor and foster relationships with all levels of the organization to help employees achieve their development goals and aspirations.

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant human resources and talent development practices.

  • Travel to company locations and client sites may be required.

  • Participate in special projects as required.

Education

  1. Bachelors Degree in a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

  2. Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred.

Qualifications

8-10 years of related human resources experience.
