Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Processes a range of scheduled routines.

  • Operates the system and resolves common error conditions.

  • Ability to diagnose and act on machine stoppage and error conditions not fully covered by existing procedures and guidelines (e.g., resetting switches and other controls or making mechanical adjustments to maintain or restore equipment operations).

  • May deviate from standard procedures if standard procedures do not provide a solution and refers problems which do not respond to corrective procedures to a person of supervisory or higher individual contributor level.

  • Perform corrective actions and troubleshooting of EST weapons that may malfunction and determine appropriate action.

  • Perform daily start up and shutdown of EST simulators. Ensures systems are operationally ready for training before customer's arrival.

  • Work with unit Drill Sergeants to capture video and audio media used for After Action Reviews (AAR)

  • Contribute to completion of organizational projects and goals.

  • Maintains maintenance records and tracks status of equipment.

  • Maintains currency in the Battlefield Operations Systems.

  • Adapt system capabilities to customer training.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate or possess equivalency diploma.

  • Three years of experience in operating computer systems.

  • Knowledge of Armor, Calvary or Mechanized Infantry Operations.

  • Ability to operate the Operator and Presentation workstations, move equipment to trainig location, set up equipment at training location, and return equipment to storage location after completion of training.

  • Thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware operation.

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US security clearance if required.

  • Must be able to read and speak English.

  • Must be able to reach and bend.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work in inclement weather.

  • Must be able to travel as required.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License
