General Dynamics Information Technology Lead Cognitive Performance Coach in Ft Belvoir, Virginia
Provides subject matter expertise in the areas of Psychology, Performance Psychology, Counseling, or Kinesiology to conduct research across seven functional areas of: Cognitive Enhancement and Accelerated Learning, Instructor Development and Training, Tactical Training, Holistic Human Performance Training, Curriculum Development Technology and Software Development and Research, Program Evaluation and Assessment.
Analyzes and identifies needs and provides viable interventions, including training and performance support.
Participates in the development of research procedures.
Utilized simulation technology and biofeedback to promote excellence and efficiency during physical, technical, and tactical training, as well as during the challenges of combat operations or pressure situations
Gathers data and compiles information into documents related to sport psychology to include mental skills and cognitive enhancement training techniques.
Provides subject matter expertise, applying industry best practices of operational and functional physical fitness from military and professional sports in the development of training and other technology-based learning solutions.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced personnel.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant subject matter expertise as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
MA/MS in the field of Psychology, Counseling, or Kinesiology with a specialized emphasis in sport and/or performance psychology.
PhD degree in the field of Psychology, Counseling, or Kinesiology with a specialized emphasis in sport and/or performance psychology, preferred
10-15 years of related experience inPsychology, Counseling, or Kinesiology with a specialized emphasis in sport and/or performance psychology. A PhD may be substituted for 8 years experience
Preferred: Graduateof Army’s Master Resilience Training Course; Certified Army Performance Expert
Preferred CPC qualifications include certified consultant status w/ the Association for Applied Sports Psychology
Clearance Requiement is for both TS-SCI and Secret positions
