General Dynamics Information Technology USARC Digital Training Management System (DTMS) Analyst in Ft Bragg, North Carolina
USARC Staff DTMS Analyst is the primary interface between the USARC G-staff, the USARC DTMS Analyst at Ft Leavenworth, Army Reserve units in the field, and the software/programmer team in Orlando in determining the integration/functionality requirements that must be reflected in the DTMS for the USAR. Of primary consideration is the integration of data fields and functionality of USAR legacy automated systems and how they must interface with DTMS, as the system-of-choice in servicing the training management requirements expected of DTMS by USAR units, and the USARC staff. Translating these expectations and requirements into a prioritized list of software/program tasks for the Programming Team in Orlando, and overseeing the progress in completion, is a major component of this effort. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.
Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
Researches, identifies, and assists in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.
Participates in the development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.
Identifies and recommends emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures and training materials.
Conducts functional testing of various systems.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
Participates in special projects as required.
Works with end user to analysis problems and determine solutions
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
5-8 years of related experience.
Unique/Additional Requirements:Specific and extensive experience in the Army’s Digital Training Management System is a must. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to interact well on a higher command level staff, and have the inter-personal skills required to successfully accomplish complex staff actions. Demonstrated performance in research, analysis and translating automated systems capabilities into DTMS functionality is a must. Best qualified candidate will have successfully served on active duty on a GO command level staff, preferably in the US Army Reserve, and have the training management and digital acumen to handle high level analysis and integration requirements of multiple, management systems. Candidate must have and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
