General Dynamics Information Technology Lead Instructor in Ft Wainwright, Alaska
The Mission Training Complex's Lead/Senior Instructor and SME for a specific Mission Command Information System (MCIS) system(s). Develops, organizes, and maintains a Programs of Instruction (POIs) and Lesson Plans (LP) for their assigned system(s) of responsibility that encompasses new operator and sustainment training for basic operator, system integration, and senior leader. Utilizes official system Program / Product Manager's training products as the basis of the POI/LP development and updates the POI/LPs on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance of training material.
Assists the Training Section Lead in Instructor Certification and Subject Matter Expert (SME) training for personnel assigned instructor duties to their system(s) of responsibility. Directly responsible for the quality of classroom instruction.
Plans and coordinates training event details for their system of responsibility through the Training Section Lead. Training events will be planned in sufficient quantities to meet the existing or projected needs of the customer. Responsible for resource planning, classroom preparation and appearance and overall professional execution of training for their system(s) of responsibility.
Maintains training records, participant progress, and program effectiveness. Updates courses for currency and prepares presentations. Maintains current knowledge of relevant software and hardware applications. Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies.
Monitors student survey and demographic data for completeness and accuracy. Responsible for maintaining technical proficiency with the software, and tactical proficiency with classroom presentations for multiple C4ISR systems to assist other individual level C4ISR training within the Mission Training Complex.
Support Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulations in support of exercises and participates in special projects as required.
Some travel may be required.
General Dynamics requires Associates Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
Contract requires Bachelor's Degree in a related technical or scientific discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or work experience.
General Dynamics requires 5-8 years of directly related experience in course instruction
Contract requires 5-8 years of related experience with OIF/OEF operational experience preferred
Lead/Senior Instructor and resident Subject Matter Expert (SME) for new operator and operator sustainment training curriculums for a specific Mission Command Information System / C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) system(s). Responsible for initial instructor and SME training of personnel assigned instructor duties for that specific MCIS/C4ISR system(s). Works under the direct supervision of the Training Section Lead and assists in all aspects of preparation and execution of ABCS training.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level security clearance.
