We are seeking a Sr. Functional Analyst/Specialist to provide technical and management support services to our Justice Programs team in support of the Department of Justice Installation Program Management and supporting staff. This position will in charge of directing all financial management and administrative activities, such as inventory control, project scheduling, and resource planning. Other primary duties for this position will be as follows:
Analyzes and schedules site surveys for user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.
Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
Researches, identifies, and recommends resources required for task execution and completion.
Performs functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
Serves as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.
Consults with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
Develops new systems or updates existing systems to meet client needs.
Identifies emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
May provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced analysts.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
Participates in special projects as required.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or 5-8 years of related work experience. Also requires extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products Excel, Power Point, Access and Word. (Professional certifications in related field a plus. Must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time.
As a Sr. Functional Analyst, review business processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures, identify improvements, document those processes, and connect business people to information technology groups in an organization. Sr. Functional Analyst should have experience supporting multiple projects in a government setting or related work experience.
