General Dynamics Information Technology Change Manager in Lackland AFB, Texas

Job Description

GDIT is currently hiring aChange ManageratLackland AFB in support of the 690th Cyberspace Operations Group (690 COG) performing 24/7/365 Air Force Information Network (AFIN) operations that includes defensive cyberspace operations (DCO), network management, information assurance, and fault resolution activities to maintain the operational capabilities of the network, establish the domain for AF cyberspace operations, and ensure AF cyberspace superiority. The scope of this effort will provide support services to operate, sustain, and assure the availability of Air Force Information Networks (AFIN) to enable war-fighter mission execution.

Responsibilies include:

  • Processing, reviewing, categorizing, documenting and working with stakeholders to ensure clarity of change requests to configuration items affecting 690 COG Mission Areas

  • Coordinating with Testing and Release Management staff to manage change requests through all phases of their lifecycle

  • Managing change requests through all phases of their lifecycle

  • Administering the change request queue to ensure processing thresholds are achieved

  • Measuring change effectiveness

  • Providing administrative support to the Change Approval Board (CAB) including agendas, meeting minutes and decision documentation


Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.


  • 1-2 years of related configuration management experience.

  • Current Secret Security Clearance or Higher

  • Current 8570 IAM II Level Certification or higher (CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP

  • ITIL V3 Foundation for Service Management Certification must be obtained within 90 days of start of hire

Additional industry certifications may be required within specific time frames.
