General Dynamics Information Technology World Class Opposing Force (WCOPFOR) Chief MCTP in Leavenworth, Kansas
Provide support services for the replication of a free thinking, near-peer competitor in a hybrid threat environment for MCTP Operations Group X-Ray (OPSGRP-X), World Class Opposing Force (WCOPFOR). Responsible for portraying an Operational Strategic Command (OSC), operating under the doctrine outlined in Training Circular (TC) 7-100 series of manuals describing the hybrid threat. The WCOPFOR operates at the operational level for simulation command post exercises to train functional and multi-functional Brigades, Joint Special Operations Task Forces (JSOTFs),; Theater Support Commands/Expeditionary Sustainment Commands and Division and Corps headquarters during Warfighter and Mission Rehearsal Exercises. Provide directed support services to the WCOPFOR Commander and OPSGRP-X Commander (Supreme High Commander) in: the planning, execution and post exercise activities, ensure OPFOR threat characteristics conform to the guidance of the TRADOC G2 and collect and analysis events to support the WCOPFOR portion of the training unit's AAR ,manage the efforts of military analysts in the development of the OPFOR Supreme High Command OPORD, the Operational Strategic Command OPORD and FRAGOs, and the replicating of the opposing force command posts and work cells, and maintain significant event journals to support AARs, coordinate with other MCTP division and Army Cyber Command's World Class Cyber OPFOR in the development of the scenario and the operational environment. As Team Chief responsible for the daily operations; training and professional development of assigned military analysts. Ultimately, responsible for ensuring a seamless and accurate simulation exercise to achieve unit training and learning objectives.
Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience. Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) graduate or equivalent military school.
20 years U.S military service as a Commissioned Officer; Former Field Grade. Highly desirable to be retired colonel (O-6) equivalent or above
Previous Battalion or Higher Commander (or similar) experience, highly desirable to be retired colonel (O-6) equivalent or above
Successfully served in a key developmental position at brigade/battalion level. Highly desirable to have served as a division/corps chief of staff
Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) graduate. Highly desirable School of Advance Military Studies (SAMs) graduate or equivalent.
At least two (2) years of experience in planning, designing, configuration, and executing large scale computer simulation exercises
10-15 years of related experience supporting military operations
Experienced in conducting AARs at the General Officer level
Knowledgeable in Training Circular (TC) 7-100 series of manuals
Be current on all Army and Joint regulations and current doctrine
Deployment experience: OEF, OIF, OND, or other Operational Deployments
