Job Description:

GDIT seeks an experienced professional in supply chain management. The position supports the AEA / Intrepid Tiger Program located in Point Mugu, CA. Intrepid Tiger is a precision pod designed to provide the Marine Corps fixed and rotary wing aircraft with superior Airborne Electronic Warfare capability. The candidate will be support the ITP installation lab and should have experience-handling inventory, item master maintenance, Bill of Material planning, and expediting. In addition, the candidate should have general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards and be able to work independently with moderate direction.

Responsibilities

  • Procures sources and negotiates the buying of materials, equipment, and/or services.

  • Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.

  • Monitors performance of suppliers.

  • Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.

  • Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and market dynamics.

  • Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

  • Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records.

  • May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA or equivalent + 3 yrs related experience, or MA + 1 yr related experience
