General Dynamics Information Technology Sr. Systems Administrator - TS/SCI clearance w Poly required in Reston, Virginia
The successful candidate will manage secure information systems, establish user accounts, baseline workstations and servers using secure rule sets, and support Tier 3 engineering level analysis of operational systems. In addition, he or she will support the development, testing, and deployment of network enclaves and end-to-end telecommunications systems. They will develop scripts for managing server logs, backup systems, and monitor server health. This individual will be part of a diverse team which is operationally focused to meet both quick reaction and strategic changes to customer IT objectives.
Proficient with Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 10, Windows Server Update Service, Microsoft SharePoint 2016, stand-alone systems, anti-virus scanning and updates, VMWare, DNS, system accreditation, server hardware, and strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, Active Directory Services, networking and routing experience, and building workflows.
Manages one or more functional areas of information system solutions development and technical support, including personal computer/client server support, systems programming, applications design and development, database design and administration, information security, telecommunications and network support and administration.
Supervises non-exempt technicians and exempt professionals, and may manage subordinate supervisors.
Develops schedules and assigns work to meet critical customer deadlines.
Ensures that proper records and other documentation are maintained.
May also perform complex IT tasks.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
8-10 years of related information systems experience, including supervisory experience.
Experience managing Linux images via Puppet preferred.
Experience with Linux kernel development especially in networking and packet filtering desired.
Knowledge of GIT revision control software preferred.
User account mangement and networking with Windows in regards to CentOS7, Ubuntu, RHEL 7 preferred.
