What does ORR do?The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) transfers unaccompanied children from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) into the care and custody of a safe sponsor. By doing this, we are able to help children in need become integrated members of American society.

GDIT seeks anAssociate Research Analystto support program data reporting efforts for its Case Coordination program (ORRCC). Position is part of PMO for the ORR Case Coordination program and will report to the ORRCC Data Team supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and organizes technical data and reports into summaries for management review.

  • Maintains records and prepares reports as required.

  • Participates in the research, analysis, development, and evaluation of systems, procedures, and models for program data collection platform.

  • Analyzes and defines problems and researches possible solutions and supports data collection efforts across operations team.

  • Utilize and synthesize data to support PMO to achieve program/contract requirements.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant data collection platforms and technologies.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of related experience in scientific research and analysis.

  • Basic knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in scientific functional area(s). Basic knowledge of the related equipment and systems used in scientific functional area(s).Effective communication and excellent writing skills. Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to change.Detail oriented. Works effectively in cross-disciplinary team environment.
