Overview:

GDIT supports the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) by leveraging leading-edge IT solutions to improve customer's mission effectiveness while continuously seeking opportunities to increase efficiency. Under the Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract, our 110-member team delivers the full breadth of IT services, including infrastructure engineering and operations, software development and maintenance, cyber security, enterprise architecture support, and document processing.

We have an immediate opening for a FileNet P8 ECM Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting solutions using industry leading Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Business Process Management (BPM) with IBM FileNet P8. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative ECM Developer with working knowledge in FileNet P8.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Study the current environment and deduce/understand requirements

  • Work with the app solution team to identify appropriate design of FileNet P8 5.0 solutions

  • Participates in business requirements gathering sessions (JAD) and technical review sessions

  • Responsible for administering, developing, testing, delivery, and support of P8 solution

  • Designs, develops and administers various FileNet-based workflows

  • Provides capture solutions for scanning and storage of critical documents

  • Configures, maintains and supports content, application engine and document management platforms

  • Proposes and assists in the implementation of new architectural solutions to Enterprise Architect

  • Documents design and architectural solutions

  • Proposes business process improvements for document retention and workflows

  • Troubleshoots production problems

  • Manages the change process for the application(s) supported

  • Communicates technical issues to product and project managers

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent with at least 8-9 years’ experience in a related field. Minimum of 4-5 years of FileNet P8 experience. Understanding of FileNet 4.1 is very crucial.

Technical expertise:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Solid knowledge of ECM and FileNet technologies including one or more of the following: o P8 Content Engine(CE) o P8 Content navigator o IBM Datacap o P8 Connectors for storage and Windows applications o P8 Content Federation Services(CFS), CFS/IS (Image Services) and CFS/ICI (Content Integrator) o FileNet Image Services(IS) o P8 Deployment Manager o FileNet Enterprise Manager (FEM)

  • 5+ years systems development experience with ECM applications

  • Experience with working with P8 installed on various OS’

  • Experience using ECM Centera storage

Preferred skills:

  • Experience working integrating P8 services with .Net applications

  • Experience with FileNet 4.1 is highly desired

  • Experience with AIX is highly desired
