General Dynamics Information Technology Technical Editor, Monitoring and Evaluation in Rockville, Maryland

Job Description

The Technical Editor will support a government-funded Monitoring and Evaluation program reviewing and editing written materials and conducting quality assurance reviews of written correspondence, reports, presentations, and other materials.

Duties include:

  • Reviews and edits all written materials, including monitoring tools, monitoring reports, and correspondence

  • Ensures that documents meet editorial and programspecificationsand adhere to standards for quality, format, and style

  • Remains current on relevant program rules and regulations to help assess the accuracy of written reports

  • Interfaces with Program Officers and Program Monitors on modifications to written reports

  • Assists with additional projects related to monitoring and evaluation

  • Participates in regular meetings as required

This position is based in Rockville, MD.

Education

Bachelors Degree in English, Journalism or a related discipline.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of editing experience

  • Exceptional written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
