Position Description: TheSystems Administratorprovides information technology support of the Deputy Director, C4 and Cyber Integration (DDC5I) C5 Assessments Division (C5AD) mission and Persistent C5 Environment (PC5E).
Maintain Windows systems in a VMWare ESXi virtual environment (VMWare 6.x and VMWare Horizon 6.x) ; configure and troubleshoot virtualized system hardware and peripheral access issues
Manage a Microsoft Active Directory environment and common services (DNS, email, file and print services) in configurations representative of DoD environments
Implement DISA STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) requirements for Microsoft operating systems, services and roles (DNS, AD, etc.) and applications (MS Office)
Create, deploy and maintain standardized Windows 10 workstation images, via Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM); create and manage domain accounts for large user communities in support of events
Assist with the deployment of system updates and patches utilizing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft System Center Updates Publisher (SCUP), and Windows Software Update Services (WSUS)
Conduct daily system maintenance activities including log reviews and connectivity checks to maintain the infrastructure in a project-ready state
Physically install server, workstation and peripheral devices in equipment racks and user workspaces
Occasionally travels in support of network events

. Conduct daily system maintenance activities including log reviews and connectivity checks to maintain the infrastructure in a project-ready state
Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Educational equivalency for this position is defined as at least two years of experience with computer network and application software installation, trouble shooting, networking operations, and maintenance, and;
Must meet at least one of the following requirements and the experience must have been obtained within the past three (3) years:
Two (2) years of experience in classified and unclassified computer: hardware and software diagnostic procedures, Windows 7 (or newer) and LINUX Red Hat operating systems, and network environments.
One (1) year of experience in configuring and customizing classified and unclassified desktop and laptop computer systems, optimizing internal memory use, resolving hardware/software interrupt conflicts, and installing device drivers.
One (1) year of experience in computer diagnostic, file defragmentation, file backup, file recovery, and LAN management procedures used in fault isolation of hardware and software.
Must have an active Secret security clearance and be eligible for Top Secret.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Certified DOD 8570.1-M IAT Level 2
Familiarity with DISA SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol) tools in securing operating systems and applications
Familiarity with system accreditation requirements of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) experience (in an offline environment)
Experience in virtualization (VMware 6.x) and VDI (VMWare Horizon 6.x)
