Job Description

Reviews and evaluates software products and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. Develops software/systems testing procedures and conducts tests.

  • Responsibilities include all aspects of system testing including creating and executing the test plan, test cases, regression testing, and test data/file creation.

  • Review functional and technical requirements to expose inconsistencies, lack of clarity, lack of details, and identify any contradictions.

  • Develops and implements software/systems testing standards and procedures and conducts tests.

  • Documents and analyzes test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality.

  • May be responsible for testing purchased third-party software and/or services to ensure that company standards and end-user requirements are met.

  • Participate in / conduct documentation, design, and testing reviews as appropriate.

  • Log and track all problems as well as ideas for new functionality (i.e. new requirements) identified during system and user testing of a release in a timely manner using the designated problem-tracking tool.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.


  • 5-8 years of related IT, software development, testing, or quality assurance experience

  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Word

  • Batch Job testing experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to write technical, logical test cases

  • Ability to clearly and thoroughly document system errors

  • Competent to work independently on Quality Assurance testing activities

  • Medicare and CMS-related knowledge a plus
