Job Description

General Dynamics IT has an opportunity for a Payments Subject Matter Expert to provide IT and Program support for payments processing and accounting reconciliation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the planning of payment processing initiatives to include defining rrequirements and conducting customer acceptance testing, including strategy, test plans and test scenarios for performance testing

  • Assist Program Manager with project plans, analysis, and tasks, and ensure knowledge reporting (MicroStrategy/Vantiv)

  • Provide detailed technical and business support for meetings / JAD sessions, including preparing key technical and business materials and providing follow-up meeting minutes

  • Assist Program Manager with the project plan update and status, focusing on coordination and monitoring of detailed technical tasks across internal organizations and outside suppliers



  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline is required



  • 13+ years of related software development experience

  • Experience with implementations in the credit card industry; preferably experience implementing card payment process at a large retailer

  • Experience with card payment standards, such as EMV, ISO8583, MasterCard and Visa requirements

  • Strategic mindset to work independently, drive projects and report updates to leadership

  • Ability to run payment card tests, analyze data, and identify issues

  • Familiarity with contactless payment technology and implementation.

  • Good communication skills, experience presenting to Executives.

  • Must be team player and work

  • Technology knowledge: XML, ISO message specifications, PCI

  • MS Project skills.
