GDIT has a senior leadership opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our team in support of a large Federal Civilian program. GDIT currently provides service desk, installation, maintenance, acquisition, and network support services in a complex and demanding customer-centric environment. The successful candidate will serve as Program Manager and lead all aspects of this critical 100+ person program, including client relationship, service delivery and personnel and financial management.

The position is located onsite in Washington, DC and affords a significant opportunity for transformational leadership.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key leader and program representative, engaging with senior customer officials and GDIT senior leaders on all aspects of program performance

  • Set the program strategy in partnership with the customer – lead the team through transformation and fulfillment of the strategy

  • Manage, direct, and allocate resources to ensure on-time delivery of services

  • Ensure adherence to processes, procedures, standards and policies as required by the contract, including SLAs, invoicing and personnel requirements

  • Manage program financials and lead related program performance reviews

  • Ensure all contract deliverables are met and that GDIT exceeds the customers’ expectations

  • Manage project risks and issues and drive resolution of conflicts as they arise

  • Supervise staff, including hiring, termination, performance management, etc.

Required Skills / Experience

  • Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience talking with SES-level government officials and C-level corporate personnel

  • Possesses strong strategic planning and organizational skills, including the ability to layout, articulate and implement a large-scale program strategy

  • Ability to manage and lead a large team, including driving high performance and ensuring highly motivated and cohesive teams

  • Superior consulting and customer service skills and ability to establish good relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Must be familiar with ISO 9001:2008 standards


  • Required Education: Bachelors Required

  • Years of Experience:

  • At least 15 years of progressive experience working on LAN support, system integration, complex network designs, network administration, telecommunications, and data processing projects.

  • At least ten (10) years of experience managing broad-based IT programs, five (5) of which must be on large scale programs consisting of 50 or more personnel.

  • Required Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
