General Dynamics Information Technology Trafficking Program Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia
The Trafficking Program Specialist supports the Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) in Washington, DC. The position provides technical support for the oversight and implementation of grant-funded victim services programs serving foreign and domestic victims of human trafficking.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Processes requests for certification from foreign national adult victims of severe forms of human trafficking, including drafting external communications about the certification process and benefits, preparing certification letters in a timely manner, coordinating with victim service providers or representatives to deliver case management assistance to victims, updating the adult certification database, training anti-trafficking grantees on the HHS certification process, responding to inquiries via the certification verification phone line, and providing certification statistics and data analysis;
Serves as a program liaison to grantees that provide case management services for foreign and domestic victims of severe forms of human trafficking. This includes assisting with the preparation of funding opportunity announcements, grant application peer review, data collection requirements, monitoring of grantee implementation of case management services, delivery of technical assistance, and generating reports and responses to inquiries regarding grant program implementation;
Assist in the preparation of written materials related to trafficking victim assistance, including reports, correspondence, briefing papers, fact sheets, memoranda, policy and procedure updates, and monthly statistical reports, includingthe timely preparation of recurring reports on trafficking such as reports to Congress and the President’s Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons;
Attends intra-and inter-agency meetings regarding government-wide and private sector anti-trafficking initiatives, and liaise with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in support of the Adult Certification process and for the purposes of coordinating and improving access to case management services and otherfederally-funded services and assistance; and
Other duties, as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related discipline is required with 5-8 years of experience in social services, public health, or public administration; or Master’s degree in social work, public health, or public administration with 2-5 years of experience.
