Active Secret with SSBI Clearance Required - Must be eligible for Top Secret

Provide cybersecurity to USAREUR, control communication networks, and Enterprise Services provided by US BICES to the theater. Provide USAREUR with the ability to provide cybersecurity, computer network defense, and network security for EUCOM and Army in Europe (AE) networks and computer systems.

Job Responsibilities -Provide Cybersecurity Assessments & Authorization (A&A), services IAW Army Regulations and RMF standards as directed by and in accordance with G6 Cybersecurity or other mission owner developed/managed schedules, procedures and IAW DoDI 8510, Army Regulations and RMF standards:

  • May serve asa technical team or task leader.

  • Serve as expert for computer network defense and as a point of contact for all aspects of cybersecurity, computer network defense, and network security within the USAREUR and surrounding upcoming MPE-related expansion initiatives.

  • Develop, implement, coordinate, review, and evaluate upcoming future MPE security plans, policies, technical/administrative procedures, accreditation documents, programs, etc., associated with IT equipment, software, design, data and physical security, communications, etc.

  • Advise technical staff on U.S and customer cybersecurity requirements and processes

  • Develop cybersecurity policies and procedures;

  • Coordinate Assessment and Authorization activities;

  • Develop cybersecurity education and training.

  • Facilitate comprehensive Certification and Accreditation/Assessment and Authorization activities in support of USAREUR expansion of coalition and MPE-related networks.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on DoD authorization strategies to include DoD Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).

  • Advise technical and non-technical staff on current U.S and NATO cybersecurity requirements, processes and procedures.

  • Develop and enhance cybersecurity policies and procedures for all supported networks.

  • Assist with authorization activities for multiple networks aligned under disparate authorization authorities.

  • Adeptly utilize a variety of security tools to perform security audits, vulnerability assessments and other related security activities.

  • Facilitate implementation of counter-measures and/or mitigating controls in response to discovered and emerging threats.

  • Participate in incident response and recovery activities to ensure incidents are contained, mitigated and reported.

  • Research and document security threats/risks and provide recommendations for appropriate threat mitigation strategies/tools/procedures for supported networks.

  • Perform security event metric collection for trend analysis.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; professional training or work experience.

Qualifications

8-10 years of related experience in data security administration.

2 or more years direct C&A/A&A experience.

  1. CISSP (or associate) certification required. 2. Two or more years direct C&A/A&A experience required. 3. Experience performing as an ACA/SCA-V. 4. This position may occasionally require some physical activity; lifting objects; bending; crouching down (i.e. to troubleshoot equipment); and long periods of sitting. 5. Must be approved for German TESA. 6. ITIL Foundation required within 90 days of hire.
